Mount Kailash Overland from Nepal

This tour provides the opportunity to make the "ultimate pilgrimage" to holy Kailash and Manasarovar. Commencing from Kathmandu in Nepal the tour is inclusive of an overland journey to the sacred Manasarovar Lake and Mount Kailash. The tour includes rigorous overland driving, trekking and camping through remote regions of Western Tibet, at altitudes of 2,745m/ 9,000ft and 4,880m/16,000ft, hiking to a maximum of 5600m/18,400ft. A Nature Trails team with Sherpas / cooks and a guide are on hand .All camping equipment is provided. Clients carry a small daypack and the pace is easy. Equipment and luggage is carried by porters/pack-animals.

Itinerary of Pilgrimage Tour In Detail.

Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.

Day 02 : A leisure tour breifing

Day 03 : Fly to Nepalganj. Overnight hotel.

Day 04 : Fly to Simikot and commence trek

Day 05 : Simikot / Tuling

Day 06 : Tuling / Kermi

Day 07 : Kermi / Yangar

Day 08 : Yanger / Torea

Day 09 : Torea / Hilsa then cross the border and drive to Taklakot

Day 10 : Taklakot / Purang

Day 11 : Purang / Manasarovar Lake

Day 12 : Manasarovar / Darchen

Day 13 : Darchen / Dera Phuk Gomba (4860 m.) - A three day trek around Mt. Kailash

Day 14 : Cross over the Dolma-La (5400 m.) trek to Zutul Phuk Gomba.

Day 15 : Zutul Phuk Gomba / Horaa (4500 m.)

Day 16 : Horaa / Parayang (4550 m.)

Day 17 : Paryang / Saga (4600 m.)

Day 18 : Saga / Nyalam (3750 m.)

Day 19 : Nyalam / Kathmandu

PLEASE NOTE : On the return journey it may be possible to take the seasonal route crossing the Zangpo River at Saga on day 12. This high route is very scenic and passes Mt. Shishapangma and Paiko Tsho Lake to meet the Arniko Highway close to the Lalung La Pass on Day 14, A detailed itinerary is provided after booking confirmation.

Cost Includes :
All the surface transportation/ all ground handling transportation / accommodation in Nepalganja and Simikot with attached bathroom / all meals onward from Simikot for Nepal part.

Land cruiser / support truck/ guide and sherpa crews/ Chinese visa and all Tibet permits /sightseeing entrance fee's / tented camp including all meals / yak and yak handlers during your Kora, all necessary back up equipment including oxygen bottle.

Cost does not include :
Nepal re-entry fee (It is suggested you apply initially for a multiple entry visa for Nepal,/ Lunch and Dinner in Nepalganja,The Liaison officer fee for the trek in Nepal (approximately - US$ 500 divided by the number of group members / permits for Simikot (first 7 days US$ 90./ per person and additional days US$ 15./ per person, if required) / any extra expenses incurred due to unforeseen circumstances.
